Know Your Rights
Essential information about your constitutional rights during encounters with immigration enforcement.
Right to Remain Silent
You do not have to answer questions about your immigration status, where you were born, or how you entered the country.
Right to Refuse Consent
You can refuse to let officers search you, your belongings, your car, or your home without a valid warrant.
Right to an Attorney
You have the right to speak with a lawyer before answering any questions or signing any documents.
